SwiftStack Gets $6.1M For Object Storage Software
San Francisco-based SwiftStack said this morning that it has raised $6.1M in a Series A funding round. The firm, which develops object-based storage software based on the open OpenStack standard, said the funding will go towards employes and buildout of it software. The funding was led by Mayfield Fund. SwiftStack operates in the area of "software-defined" storage.
