Advent Software Abandons Plans For Sale
San Francisco-based financial software developer Advent Software said Monday that it has abandoned plans for a sale, saying that a recent review of its "strategic alternatives" has led it to continue as an independent company. The firm said that review came from financial advisor Qatalyst Partners and legal counsel, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Advent Software had reportedly hired Qatalyst last week to find a buyer for the company, sending the company's stock surging.
