Balanced Raises $2M For Online Payment Processing
San Francisco-based Balanced, a provider of electronic payment services for e-commerce businesses, has raised $2M in a new seed funding, the firm said today. The funding came from Andreessen Horowitz and Collaborative Fund. Balanced said the funding brings its total raised to $3.4M. The firm's other seed investors include Y Combinator, SV Angel, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, reddit CEO Yishan Wong, Ashton Kutcher, including a number of other angel investors. The company is specifically aiming and helping marketplaces like Kickstarter and Airbnb handle their payment issues.
