RealReal Lands $14M For Luxury Resale Fashion
San Francisco-based The RealReal, an online marketplace for the resale of luxury items, has raised $14M in a Series B funding round, the firm announced today. The funding was led by InterWest Partners, and also included Canaan Partners, e.ventures, Greycroft Partners, as well as Novel TMT Ventures, Panarea Capital, Suzy Welch and Sukhinder Singh Cassidy. RealReal is headed by Julie Wainwright, and lets fashion consignment firms sell pre-owned luxury and designer items from Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton , Gucci and Cartier.
