Blue Coat Systems has acquired security analysis hardware developer
Solera Networks, the company announced this morning. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced by the companies. Blue Coat said it will use Solera's platform to add security analytics and forensics to its product portfolio. Solera was backed by Allegis Capital, Canopy Group, Intel Capital, Signal Peak Ventures, and Trident Capital, and had raised about $51M in funding. The firm was based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
