GainSpan Adds $19M In Series D
San Jose-based Wi-fi technology provider GainSpan said this morning that it has raised $19M in funding, as part of a Series D funding. The funding came from Zebra Technologies Corporation and Oplink Communications, along with Opus Capital, Intel Capital, New Venture Partners, Sigma Partners, Camp Ventures and Hatteras Funds. According tot he company, the funding will go towards completing development and launch of a new family of chips which combine Wi-Fi and ZigBee on a single die.
