NextSpace Raises $500K, Acquires Chicago Coworking Company
San Francisco-based NextSpace, which operates a series of coworking spaces in California, has expanded into Chicago, and acquired a local Chicago coworking operator called The Coop. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. NextSpace also said it has raised $500,000 from local, Chicago real estate and private equity investor Lakewest, along with angel Jeff Carter and others. NextSpace says it has now raised $2.5M in funding.
