Maginatics, a developer of cloud-based, unified storage software, said today that it has raised $17M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Intel Capital, and also included WestSummit Capital, Comcast Ventures, Atlantic Bridge, and VMware. Maginatics develops a cloud-based, file system (magFS) which offers up network attached storage (NAS) capabilities in the cloud. The company is aiming its products at the enterprise. The company is led by Amarjit Gill.
