C9, a developer of revenue performance management software used to optimize sales, marketing, service, and support efforts, has raised $12M in a Series D funding round. The round was led by Mayfield, InterWest Partners and Leapfrog Ventures, all existing investors in the company. The company said it has now raised $40M. C9 also named Michael Howard as CEO; Howard was previously at Greenplum/EMC, and had served at Ingrian Networks, Outerbay, Veritas, and Oracle.
