Palantir Adds $197M
Secretive Palantir Technologies, the big data software developer founded by Joe Lonsdale, has raised a huge, $197M funding round, according to a regulatory filing from the firm last week. No details on the funding or investors have been announced. Palantir develops data integration tools heavily used in the financial analysis and defense/intelligence areas. The company's prior investors include Founders Fund, In-Q-Tel, and Reed Elsevier Ventures.
