Redwood City-based Flint is hoping to take on Square with a new, digital app for taking mobile payments. Flint said yesterday that it has raised $6M in a Series B funding round for its service, which lets people take a picture of a credit card to accept payments. The funding was led by Digicel Group, and also included SVG Partners, Storm Ventures, and True Ventures. The company currently offers its mobile payment service on Android.
