San Francisco-based financial startup
Ripple Labs announced this morning that it has raised $3.5M more in funding, on top of an existing investment for the company. The company said the new funding came from Core Innovation Capital, Venture 51, Camp One Ventures, IDG Capital Partners, as well as angels. The funding brings the company's total raised to $9M. The company also is backed by Google Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, IDG Capital Partners, FF Angel, Lightspeed Venture Partners, The Bitcoin Opportunity Fund, and Vast Ventures. Ripple develops an open source, payment protocol aimed at the global market.
