Ripple, which develops real time payment technology for the finance and banking industry, said it has raised $28M in a Series A funding. The funding came from IDG Capital partners, CME Group, and Seagate, along with AME Cloud Ventures, ChinaRock Capital Management, China Growth Capital, Wicklow Capital, and Bitcoin Opportunity Corp., Core Innovation Capital, Route 66 Ventures, RRE Ventures, Vast Ventures, and Venture 51. Ripple Labs is headed by Chris Larsen.
