Google Buys Technology For Robot Army
Need your own robot army? Mountain View-based Google confirmed Friday that it has acquired Boston Dynamics, a company which develops uncannily agile robots for the Pentagon. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The company is apparently the eighth robotics company acquired by Google in the past year. Boston Dynamics' robots include robots that can scale walls, jump on top of building, run through the snow, and carry hundreds of pounds.
