Data Physics Acquired By Battery Ventures
San Jose-based test and measurement equipment provider DataPhysics has scored an investment from Battery Ventures, the two said this week, giving Batery Ventures a controlling stake in Data Physics. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Data Physics developing digital signal processing technology used for noise and vibration analysis, and was founded by HP alums Sri Welaratna and Dave Snyder. The company was founded in 1984. Battery Ventures said it has appointed Louis Pace as CEO of the company; Pace was EIR at Battery, and previously also headed up HallStar and served at Belden.
