SoundFocus Scores $1.7M For Hearing Technology
San Francisco-based SoundFocus, a company developing software to customize audio tuned to a user's hearing, said this week that it has raised $1.7M in seed funding. The funding came from Kapor Capital, Y Combinator, Greg Badros, VegasTechFund, OVO Fund, RTA Capital, Garry Tan, Alexis Ohanian and Harj Taggar. SoundFocus uses software to adjust and re-balance audio to match a user's hearing; co-founder Alex Selig grew up with hearing loss.
