Kraken Gets $5M For Digital Currency Exchange
San Francisco-based Payward said today that it has raised $5M in a Series A funding, for the company's Kraken digital currency exchange. Kraken allows users to exchange Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin, Namecoin, Dogecoin, Ven and other digital currencies between each other. The funding came from the Bitcoin Opportunity Fund and Bitcoin angel investor Trace Mayer. The company is led by Jesse Powell.
