Reflexion Medical Sees $11.6M For Medical Devices
Burlingame-based Reflexion Medical has snagged $11.6M in a Series A funding, for the company's medical devices for radiation therapy for treating cancer. The funding came from Sofinnova Partners, and also included Pfizer Venture Investments (PVI), and Venrock. Sofinnova's Antoine Papiernik, PVI's BIll Burkoth, and Venrock's Colin Cahill all join the company's board with the funding. The company is combining the use of positron emission tomography (PET) with radiation therapy, to better target cancer in radiation therapy.
