CEVA Buys RivieraWaves
Mountain View-based DSP technology developer CEVA has acquired RivieraWaves, a developer of wireless technology incorporated into Systems-on-a-Chip (SOC) platforms. CEVA said it will pay $19M in total for RivieraWaves, split between an initial payment of $12M in closing, with the rest as milestone-based earn out. RivieraWaves' IP includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Smart 4.1 cores. RivieraWaves was based in France.
