Facebook Buys PrivateCore
San Francisco-based Facebook said this morning that it has acquired PrivateCore, a Palo Alto-based startup developing secure server technology. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Facebook said it will use the buy to bolster its own infrastructure. PrivateCore's technology is used to protect servers against malware, malicious hardware, and other cybersecurity threats.
