Slice Acquired By Rakuten
Palo Alto-based Slice, which makes apps to help users better track their online spending and purchases, has been acquired by Japanese ecommerce giant Rakuten. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Slice was venture backed by Lightspeed Venture partners, DCM, Innovation Endeavors, NPD Group, Russia Partners, as well as Rakuten itself, and had raised around $32M.
