San Jose-based
PernixData, a developer of software used to accelerate access to storage and data, said today that it has raised $35M in a funding round. The funding came from Menlo Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and Lightspeed Ventures, along with Marc Benioff, Steve Luczo, Jim Davidson, John Thompson, Mark Leslie, and Lane Bess. PernixData develops clustering and cache management software used to improve access to storage by virtual machines.
