San Francisco-based
Appia, which helps drive mobile app installs, has merged with Texas-based
Digital Turbine, the two said today. Digital Turbine said that the deal was a stock-for-stock merger, where Appia's shareholders will receive approximately 19 million shares of Digital Turbine's stock, or approximately 33 percent of the combined company. Appia was venture backed by Venrock, Trident Capital, DCM, and TomorrowVentures.
