August, which develops a "smart" lock which uses Bluetooth to replace keys to your home, has raised $38M in a Series B funding round. The funding was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, and also included Comcast Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, as well as Maveron, Cowboy Ventures, Industry Ventures, Rho Ventures, and SoftTech VC. August was co-founded by Jason Johnson and Yves Behar. The company said the funding will go towards new products, expanding into retail markets, and to grow its team.
