VenueNext Picks Up $9M
San Francisco-based VenueNext, a startup offering up information about stadium and other venues via mobile app, has raised $9M in a Series A funding. According to VenueNext, the funding was led by Causeway Media Partners, and also included Live Nation Entertainment, Twitter Ventures and Aruba Networks. VenueNext has so far deployed with the San Francisco 49er's n Levi's stadium, and says it has 30 planned deployments this year. As part of the funding, Mark Wan of Causeway joins the company's board. VenueNext's founder and CEO is John Paul.
