Intel Capital, the venture investment arm of
Intel, announced $72M in total investments spread across 12 startups on Tuesday, including a significant number of local companies. Intel said it made the investments in
Avaamo (AI, Los Altos);
Fictiv (AI, San Francisco);
Gamalon (AI, Massachusetts);
Reconova (AI, China);
Syntiant (AI, Irvine);
Alauda (container, IOT, China);
CloudGenix (SD-WAN, San Jose);
Espressif Systems (semiconductors, China);
VenueNext (venue software, Santa Clara);
Lyncean Technologies (laser technology, Fremont);
Movellus (semiconductor software, San Jose); and
SiFive (IP cores, San Mateo). Individual amounts invested in those 12 companies were not announced by Intel Capital. Intel announced the investments at its Intel Capital Global Summit.
