SoftBank Taps LinkedIn Exec As New Managing Director
SoftBank Group said today that it has hired Deep Nishar, former SVP of Products and User Experience at LinkedIn, has joined the firm as Managing Director of Investments. SoftBank--which is a very active investor in technology startups--said Nishar will help direct investments and counsel and support companies in its portfolio. Nishar had been at LinkedIn since 2009, and previously worked for Google; he also co-founded Patkai Networks.
