Cyan Acquisition By Ciena Completes
Petaluma-based optical networking equipment maker Cyan is now officially a part of Ciena Corporation, Ciena said Monday. Ciena said the deal was worth approximately $488M (or $415M net of cash acquired). Ciena paid $33.6M in cash plus 10.6 million shares of its common stock for Cyan. Both companies offer up products for the optical networking market. Cyan becomes part of Ciena's Blue Planet division.
