Uber Raises $100M More From Indian Investor
San Francisco-based Uber said Wednesday that it has raised $100M more in a strategic funding, from Indian investor Tata Capital. The funding came from the Tata Opportunity Fund. Uber, led by Travis Kalanick, has now raised over $7 billion in funding. The new funding will partially go to Uber's aggressive expansion plans in India, where it faces a fierce lineup of established, local competitors.
