PMC-Sierra Acquired By Skyworks For $2 Billion
Sunnyvale-based semiconductor developer PMC-Sierra has been acquired by Massachusetts-based Skyworks Solutions, the two announced late Monday evening, in a deal worth $2 billion. According to the two, Skyworks will pay $10.50 per share in cash for PMC, to help it bolster its analog, RF, and mixed signal semiconductor business. Skyworks said the buy will boost its annual revenues to more than $4 billion.
