Marqeta Gets $25M For Payment Technology API
Emeryville-based Marqeta, a developer of a payment API system used for issuing prepaid cards, has raised $25M in a Series C funding round. The funding came from IA Capital, CommerzVentures, Max Levchin, 83North, Granite Ventures, and Commerce Ventures, among others. Marqeta says its customers include Facebook, Chevron, DoorDash, Kabbage, Affirm, and many others. The company has now raised $46M in funding. Financial Technology Partners LP and FTP Securities LLC (FT Partners) advised the company in the funding.
