Marqeta Adds $25M For Open Card APIs
Oakland-based Marqeta, a developer of open APIs which standardize commercial card processing interfaces for card issuers and others, has raised $25M more in a Series D funding, the company said on Thursday. The funding was led by Visa, and also included Commerce Ventures, 83 North, Granite Ventures, IA Capital, and CommerzVentures GmbH, as well as new investor CreditEase. The company says it has now raised a total of $71M for its efforts. Marqeta's CEO is Jason Gardner.
