Lumo Bodytech Finds $10M For Smart, Connected Running Shorts
Can your shorts tell you how well you are running? Maybe, if they're from Palo Alto-based Lumo Bodytech, which said this morning that it has raised $10M in a financing round, to launch its wearables into the market. Lumo said the new funding was led by Wuxi Healthcare Ventures, and also included Madrona Venture Group, Innovation Endeavors, AME Cloud Ventures, and Innovalue Capital Ltd. MAS Holdings, and SanDisk founder Eli Harari. Lumo's shorts gathers biometrics on a runner's cadence, bounce, ground contact, and other metrics to help suggest improvements in form and stride. Lumo's CEO is Monisha Perkash.
