Clip Finds $8M For Mexican Mobile Payment Service

, a developer of mobile payment services aimed at Mexico consumers, has raised $8M in a funding round, according to the company. Clip--which was founded in San Francisco in 2011--said the funding was led by Alta Venturs, and also included American Express Ventures and Sierra Ventures, plus Angel Ventures Mexico and Mexico Ventures (Fondo de Fondos) and Endeavor Catalyst. Clip offers up mobile payments via a proprietary card reader on Android and iOS, and focuses on small and medium businesses. The company's headquarters are in Mexico City.
