San Francisco-based
REVL, a startup developing a motion-stabilized, action camera, has raised $2M in a seed funding round, according to the company. The funding came from Bill Tai, Y Combinator, James Lindenbaum, Lars Rasmussen, Frog Ventures, and others. REVL--which is currently raising money via a crowdfunding campaign--said the funding will go towards accelerating production of its action camera. Eric Sanchez is founder and CEO of REVL, which is part of Y Combinator's Winter 2016 class. REVL appears to be taking aim at the same action camera market as GoPro.
