DropCam Gets $12M For Wi-Fi Camera
San Francisco-based Dropcam, which makes a Wi-Fi and mobile enabled camera designed for home monitoring, has raised $12M in a Series B funding round. The funding was led by Menlo Ventures, and also include Accel Partners and Bay Partners. The firm said the new funding brings its total raised to $17.8M. Dropcam's cameras connect to Android smartphones and tablets, via Wi-Fi, to help users monitor things remotely.
