Rancher Labs Gets $20M For Container Management
Cupertino-based Rancher Labs, a startup developing "container" management software, has raised $20M in a Series B funding round. The funding came from GRC SinoGreen, and also included Mayfield and Nexus Venture Partners. Rancher Labs--despite its name and logo--only herds software "containers", the technology which enables customers to deploy software applications to the cloud. Rancher's software works with Kubernetes and Docker Swarm. Rancher Labs is led by Sheng Liang.
