Embroker, which is developing a technology-enabled platform to help businesses buy commercial insurance, said it has raised $12.2M in a funding round. The Series A funding was led by Canaan Partners, and also included Nyca Partners and XL Innovate, along with Bee Partners, FinTech Collective, Vertical Venture Partners and 500 Startups. The company also said it has received a new, debt facility from Silicon Valley Bank. Embroker is aimed at small and medium sized businesses. The startup is led by Matt Miller.
