UpGuard Gets $17M For Cyber Risk Monitoring
Mountain View-based UpGuard, a developer of continuous, cyber risk monitoring software, said on Thursday that it has raised $17M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Pelion Venture Partners and Square Peg Capital, and also included Australian insurer IAG. UpGuard offers up a "cyber risk benchmark" which measures the vulnerability of a company's IT assets, and also are used by insurers to validate a company's risk and compliance profile. The startup is led by Mike Baukes.
