Oracle Buys Palerra
Redwood Shores-based Oracle said Sunday that it has acquired Santa Clara-based Palerra, a developer of cloud security automation software. Financial terms of the buy were not announced by the companies. Oracle said that each of the companies will continue to operate independently. Palerra was venture backed by August Capital, Engineering Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, and Wing Venture Capital, and was founded by Rohit Gupta and Ganesh Kirti. Palerra develops Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) software.
