Octane AI, a startup developing artificial intelligence "bot" software for creating chatbots on Facebook Messenger, has raised $1.5M in a funding round, the company said this week. The funding was led by General Catalyst Partners, and also included Boost VC, Dimension 6, Brad Hunstable (Ustream), Allan Grant (Hired, Talkable), and Lawrence Braitman. The company was founded by Matt Schlicht (Ustream), Ben Parr (Mashable), and Leif K-Brooks.
