San Francisco- and Denver-based
CaptainU, a developer of athletic development and recruiting software for athletes, clubs, events, and colleges, has been acquired by sports software company
Blue Star Sports. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Blue Star Sports, based in Dallas, Texas, has been acquiring other sports software companies at a fairly rapid clip, with eight acquisitions since April of 2016. CaptainU was founded in 2008 by Avi Stopper and Michael Farb, and says it has more than 2.5 millin users across 20 sports.
