Argo AI Gets $1 Billion In Backing From Ford
San Francisco-based Argo AI, a startup developing autonomous vehicle technology, started by former Google and Uber employees, has scored backing from Ford, the companies said on Friday. Ford said it will invest $1 billion during the next five years in Argo AI, and also provide autonomous vehicle development expertise to the startup. Argo AI is led by CEO Bryan Salesky. Ford says it will use the technology developed by Argo AI to work towards a fully autonomous vehicle in 2021.
