Confluent, a developer of streaming software, has raised $50M in a funding round. The funding was led by Sequoia, and also included Benchmark and Index Ventures. Sequoia's Matt Miller joins the company's board with the funding. Confluent's software is based on the open source Apache Kafka platform; the company has now raised $80M in funding.
