Plume Links Into Funding From Comcast
Palo Alto-based Plume, a developer of mesh, Wi-Fi networking devices, has scored backing from Comcast, as part of the launch of a brand new Wi-Fi networking service from Comcast. Comcast said its Xfinity xFi service automatically configures its users' Wi-Fi to connect to the nearest and best gateway, using Plume's algorithms and hardware. Financial terms of the investment were not announced.
