Plume Plugs Into $27.5M For Mesh Wi-Fi Hardware
Palo Alto-based Plume, a developer of mesh, Wi-Fi networking hardware aimed at providing better wireless service through a network of small, distributed access points, disclosed today that it has raised $27.5M in funding. The funding was led by Comcast, and included Jackson Square Ventures, Spark Capital and Liberty Global Ventures. Plume's system revolves around a collection of small "pods" which can be plugged into a room to add better Wi-Fi coverage.
