Fortanix Finds $8M For Application Encryption Technology
Menlo Park-based Fortanix announced this morning that it has raised $8M in a Series A funding, to go towards its application encryption technology, used for encrypting and handling data in applications while they are running on untrusted operating systems. The funding came from Foundation Capital and NeoTribe. According to Fortanix, its software protects applications and data during computation. The company's founders are Ambuj Kumar (NVIDIA, Cryptography Research Inc.) and Anand Kashyap (Symantec, VMware).
