Patreon Gets $60M In Series C
San Francisco-based Patreon, which operates a service which lets people support creators of all kinds by becoming subscription members, has raised $60M in a Series C funding round. The funding was led by Thrive Capital, and also included Index Fund, Charles River Ventures and Freestyle Capital, and also included DJV Venture Capital. The company said the new funding will help it build out its platform, grow its staff and target new markets. Patreon is led by founder and CEO Jack Conte.
