San Francisco-based
Backplane, a startup developing APIs to tie together web services, applications, and users, has raised $5M in a seed funding, the company disclosed on Tuesday. The funding was led by Baseline Ventures, and also included Harrison Metal. Backplane was founded by Blake Mizerany, who previously was at Heroku, before it was acquired by Salesforce. Backplane offers up its software via a monthly subscription.
