EchoPixel, a developer of 3D, interactive virtual reality software for the medical imaging market, has raised $8.5M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Intel Capital, and also included Aurus Capital, Runa Capital and Harris & Harris Group, plus LAM Research and Binomial. EchoPixel's virtual reality software lets healthcare professionals view medical images in virtual reality, to improve interpretation of those images.
